Gopher Men's Basketball Announces 2025-26 Nonconference Schedule

The University of Minnesota men's basketball program will highlight nine home games in the nonconference portion of its season, announced today by the program. Times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date, along with the Big Ten Conference slate. The league opponent Pairings were announced earlier this year.
Minnesota opens the Niko Medved era by hosting four straight games between exhibitions and season openers. Minnesota hosts North Dakota State and North Dakota on Oct. 16 and Oct. 25 for a pair of exhibition games. The Gophers officially open the season on Nov. 3 against Gardner-Webb and follow with a home game on Nov. 8 against Alcorn State. Minnesota then travels to Columbia, Mo., to take on the Missouri Tigers on Nov. 12. The Gophers return home for back-to-back games, welcoming Green Bay and Chicago State on Nov. 15 and Nov. 18, respectively.
The Gophers will compete in the Acrisure Series on Nov. 27-28 as part of their Acrisure Invitational in Palm Desert, Calif., alongside Stanford, Santa Clara, and Saint Louis. Set to take place from November 25 – 28, 2025, the tournament will showcase over 20 NCAA Division I men's basketball programs competing at the highest level inside Acrisure Arena, the premier sports and entertainment venue in the Coachella Valley. Minnesota will compete against Stanford on Nov. 27 at 8:30 p.m. CT. The opponent for Friday, Nov. 28, will be dependent on the outcome of Thursday's game.
Tickets for Acrisure go on sale on Friday, July 25, at noon online through Ticketmaster.com, the official ticketing provider of Acrisure Arena. Tickets are also available at the Ticketmaster Box Office at Acrisure Arena. Admission includes access to all games on that date. The Acrisure Series will receive extensive national television coverage, with both TNT and CBS involved in showcasing the tournament. All games on Friday will air on truTV, while CBS Sports Network will broadcast a total of 11 games, including the final two matchups on Tuesday, as well as full-day coverage on both Wednesday and Thursday.
The opening week of Big Ten play follows the Acrisure Series, which will be announced with the full conference schedule. Minnesota concludes the nonconference portion of the season when it hosts Texas Southern (Dec. 14), Campbell (Dec. 21) and FDU (Dec. 29).
