Why Minnesota?
The style of play and the coaching staff works well for me. I just really trust their vision.
What sports did you play growing up and when did you focus on basketball?
I wanted to go to the NFL since I probably came out of the womb. But, around eighth grade, I had to decide if I'd be better at football or basketball and clearly it's basketball so that kind of decided it. I played wide receiver, tight end, linebacker, I was everywhere.
What have you learned so far from Coach Medved and the coaching staff?
They expect greatness. They are a really good staff and they understand that details will win you the game. Those little plays, missed layups, those 2,4,6,8 points that can decide the game, especially in this league.
For those that don't know your game, tell us what we can see from you.
I'm a very two-way player. I get to the rim, I can hit open threes and I want to guard the best guy on the other team. That's just how I am and how I think.
Time to hype up Denver or Colorado. If someone's going there, what's three things they have to do?
Definitely need to go to Boulder if you're looking for a really good hike. We have a really good museum. It's called the Museum of Illusions. Obviously anything downtown Denver has everything you need. You got Ball Arena, great places to eat, just a great place to be.
What's something you want to accomplish before you're done with your college career?
Being a certified winner. I had a really great year with my team last year and we won a lot there. I want to prove to people that we can do it at this level and that I belong here.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
Winning games in the Big Ten!
Favorite Food: Pasta, Alfredo
What are you streaming right now: I just re-watched You. That's my favorite show of all time.
Favorite Holiday and why: Thanksgiving. When you get to try everyone's family food or favorite dish.
Favorite NBA Player or Team: Jimmy Butler. Wherever he goes, I go.
If I wasn't playing basketball, I'd be: Honestly, I think I'd be really good at track. I jump kinda high and that one foot anything, is kinda my thing.
