Gopher Digital Productions Live Team Receives B1G+ Award

Minnesota was honored for Best Game Coverage – Spring
The Gopher Digital Productions Live Team was recently honored with a B1G+ Award.
In the third annual B1G+ Awards, the live team received the award for Best Game Coverage – Spring for its softball submission of Minnesota's April 12 game against Oregon.
Associate broadcast engineer Greg Spaeth was the engineer in charge of the game with the support of broadcast engineer Jake Davis.
Senior Sam Konstan handled play-by-play duties and was joined by analyst and Minnesota softball alum Erika Smyth.
Ten other Gopher Digital Productions staff members assisted with the award-winning production, and they were: Olivia Miller, Joe Krattley, Emma Lee, Dylan Peterson, Derek Johnson, Ben Keller, Isabelle Primeau, Malik Mitchell, Phoenix Ferrari and Caden Malek.
Gopher Digital Productions was formed in 2012 and is the video production arm of the University of Minnesota athletics department. It works with all 22 Golden Gopher sports in the areas of live broadcast and on-demand video.
