Stewart has signed a semi-pro contract and will compete for Geelong United in Australia

MINNEAPOLIS - Graduate Annika Stewart has signed with Geelong United Basketball of the NBL1 South.

"I'm beyond excited to experience basketball in Australia and join the Geelong team," said Stewart. "It's an incredible opportunity, and I can't wait to get to know my teammates, explore a new culture, and compete in a new league."

NBL1 is a semi-professional basketball league in Australia, operating under the National Basketball League (NBL) umbrella. It consists of five regional conferences (South, North, Central, West, East).

Stewart came off the bench in all 36 games for Minnesota this past season, averaging 8.5 points, 2.1 boards, and 15 minutes per game. Against Prairie View A&M, she scored a season high 20 points, going 7-for-9 from the field. She was a key competitor for the Golden Gophers during her graduate season, helping the Maroon & Gold win the 2025 WBIT.
