Del Angel, Kennedy Earn All-American Nods in Women’s NCAA Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Junior diver Vivi Del Angel and senior swimmer Eliot Kennedy each earned All-American honors to cap off the 2025 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center. Members of the Gophers competed from Mar. 20-22, earning 21 points as a team en route to an overall finish of 27th place.
Del Angel secured both her fourth and fifth All-American honors in her third NCAA appearance, headlined by a third place finish in the platform finals with a score of 371.50. The reigning platform national champion also earned an All-American honorable mention after finishing 15th in the 1-meter, her first such recognition in the event.
Kennedy, in her second NCAA Championships appearance, earned an All-American honorable mention after placing 14th in the 1650 free finals with a time of 15:56.51. It marked the first-career All-American distinction for the Bloomington, Ill. native.
Swimmers Katie McCarthy and Ava Yablonski, and divers Addie Albrecht and Elna Widerstrom also represented the Maroon & Gold in Federal Way this week. McCarthy set a new personal record in the 500 free prelims on Thursday, recording a time of 4:39.71 while finishing 25th.
