Eight Gophers Qualify for 2025 Men’s NCAA Championships

MINNEAPOLIS - Gopher swimmers Bar Soloveychik, Joey Tepper, Jacob Johnson, Joe Polayk, Daniel Eichel, Kaiser Neverman, Casey Stowe, and Joe Rudd will represent the University of Minnesota at the 2024 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships on March 26-29 in Federal Way, Wash., it was announced Wednesday.
Senior Bar Soloveychik will swim in the 500 free and 1650 free. He is also eligible to swim in the 200 free. Fifth-year Joey Tepper will join Soloveychik in the 1650 free, while also eligible for the 500 free and 400 IM. 
Freshman Jacob Johnson will compete in the 200 fly and could also swim in the 100 fly and 50 free. Fellow first-year Joe Polyak is set to participate in the 200 breast, and is eligible for the 200 IM and 100 breast.
Daniel Eichel, Kaiser Neverman, Casey Stowe, and Joe Rudd all qualified as part of relay teams, as Minnesota will take part in the 800 free relay and 400 medley relay.
The Maroon & Gold will also have the opportunity to add more participants in this year's NCAAs after the NCAA Zone Diving Championships, which will finish on March 12 in Iowa City, Iowa.
Washington State University will serve as host of the 2025 NCAA Championships. The meet will run from March 26-29 at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center.
