COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Minnesota Gopher women's swim and dive team finished sixth overall and earned a bronze and silver medal on the final day of the Big Ten Championships.

Junior Vivi Del Angel earned a silver medal (second place finish) on the platform with a 334.00. It was the fourth Big Ten medal finish of her career, and the third on the platform. Del Angel was named a Second Team All-Big Ten member for the second consecutive season.

Freshman Livi Wanner was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team. Her 48.40 time in the 100 Free placed her twelfth, while her 48.30 lead off split in the 400 Free Relay, in which Minnesota placed sixth, was a new personal best.

Senior Eliot Kennedy also had a career day on Saturday, earning a bronze medal (third place finish) in the 1650 Free with a personal-best time, 'B' cut of 15:54.05. Kennedy improved on her seed time of 16:08.24 by around 14 seconds, and subsequently earned the first Big Ten medal finish of her career.

Four additional Gopher swimmers clinched 'B' cuts in Saturday's finals, with each setting new personal records on the day as well.

Sophomore Katie McCarthy placed tenth in the 1650 Free with a time of 16:09.65. Junior Ava Yablonski, in the 200 Back, also placed tenth with a new PR of 1:53.69. With a time of 2:12.75, junior Ava Gustafson placed 16th place in the 200 Breast. Gustafson previously set a personal best of 2:11.95 in the event's prelims. Sophomore Claire Reinke took fourth in the 200 Fly with a PR 1:56.06.

The 400 Free Relay squad of Wanner, Yablonski, Mina Kaljevic, and Hannah Cornish placed sixth with a 'B' cut time of 3:14.84.
