9/26/2024 11:02:00 AM | Men's Basketball, M.A.G.I.C.
The University of Minnesota athletics has partnered with Minnesota Timberwolves Naz Reid and NMDP (formerly called Be the Match) for an U of M event, Sept. 30 at Super Block.
Student-athletes from men's basketball, women's hockey and women's basketball invited MNDP, Reid and campus students to promote the Ski-U-Mah Against Cancer campus event, Sept. 30-Oct. 2. The event runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Coffman Super Block by Moos Tower.
Every year, 18,000 patients are diagnosed with life-threatening blood cancers or other blood disorders that could be cured or treated with a blood stem cell transplant. However, 70 percent of them don't have a fully matched donor in their family. They depend on NMDP to find an unrelated donor.
Join us in our fight against cancer. To join the NMDP registry. There are more than 12,000 patients searching for their life-saving donor. A simple cheek swab is all it takes to see if you could be the match for a patient in need.
