MINNEAPOLIS – Ten University of Minnesota student-athletes have earned spots on the 2024 Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, College Sports Communicators announced Tuesday.

Representing the women were golfer Isabella McCauley, gymnasts Gianna Gerdes and Mya Hooten, women's hockey players Peyton Hemp and Madeline Wethington, and rower Annie Moen, while Ryan Chesley, Justen Close and Rhett Pitlick from men's hockey and Isaiah Salazar from wrestling were chosen on the men's side.

To be considered for a CSC Academic All-District Team, nominees must have met the following criteria:

Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students.
Student-athletes who have graduated from their own institution during the current academic year and are not competing in athletics at another institution at the time of nomination are eligible.
An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), while a graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
Each nominee must have competed in a certain number of games/matches/tournaments this year, depending on the sport.

First-, second and third-team CSC Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 16 for the women and July 17 for the men.
