Minnesota Adds Schmeiser to 2025 Roster

Schmeiser will join the Gophers after two seasons at Penn State
MINNEAPOLIS - University of Minnesota head coach Erin Chastain has announced the addition of Keegan Schmeiser for the 2025 season. Schmeiser will join the Golden Gophers after competing for two seasons at Penn State.
As a freshman, she made three appearances and played 176 minutes in her inaugural collegiate campaign. Participated in a pair of shutouts on the back line, helping guide Penn State's defense to success against West Chester and Central Connecticut State. She played for 59 minutes in her collegiate debut against West Chester.
During her sophomore season, Schmeiser appeared in three matches for the Nittany Lions logging 72 minutes in the backline. Against Michigan, she grabbed her first career assist in the 6-0 win. With Penn State, Schmeiser reached the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament before falling to eventual College Cup champion, North Carolina.
Schmeiser also attended the U.S. National Team Camp in 2021 and was a 2022 U.S. Soccer U17 WNT CONCACAF Champion. She is the daughter of Wayne Schmeiser and Karen Bartosiak, and has one sibling, Jake.
