A 1982 All-American, Klein was on the team from 1981-84
Judi Klein was on the Golden Gophers gymnastics team from 1981-84. One of the great gymnasts in the early days of Minnesota gymnastics, she was named First Team All-Big Ten after winning the B1G Individual Title in the Uneven Bars. She was named a 1982 AIAW All-American after finishing fourth at the NCAA Championships in Vault. Klein helped the team to a pair of 2nd place finishes in the Big Ten in addition to the 1982 AIAW Regional Championship.

I competed from 1981 to 1984.

I was coached by Gabor and Katalin Deli
What was your favorite gymnastics memory at the U?
My favorite memories of gymnastics at the U was being named an All-American and competing with my teammates.
What was your favorite memory as a student at the U?
As a student at the U, my favorite memory was meeting my husband!
How did your experience at the U shape you?
My experience shaped me in the way of having the confidence to conquer anything that I set my mind to.
What lessons did you learn that still influence you today?
I learned to never give up on your dreams!
What is your current career?
I have my own interior design business and enjoy creating spaces that my clients love.
What's some advice you would give to the current team or aspiring athletes?
Enjoy every single experience and moment representing the 'U' as it goes by fast!
