SAAC Hosts Winterfest Event to Celebrate the Season!

Student-Athlete leaders in SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) planned and hosted a Winterfest event on Wednesday, December 4th in the Nutrition Center. With the help of current SAAC President, Christine Portillo, Winterfest partnered with local organization HandsOn Twin Cities to create a special volunteer opportunity for student-athletes.
Everyone that stopped by was able to make their own unique "sock bundle". The "sock bundles" included a pair of socks with a comb, bar of soap, granola bar, and note of encouragement or well wishes. The completed "sock bundles" were then donated to non-profit Keystone Community Services, to be distributed to those in need.
