Gophers Excel At Nationals, Win Two Titles

The University of Minnesota spirit squads turned in plenty of strong performances at the recently completed UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship held at Walt Disney World.
The Gophers claimed two national championships over the weekend, as they won the jazz and pom divisions for the fifth straight year.
Goldy Gopher placed second in the mascot division after winning the competition last year. Goldy has won two national championships in the past four years.
The Gophers placed seventh in the all-girl cheer division and coed division.
